Oh, what's this? Perhaps a modified version of "Sega Ninja" with a male protagonist instead of a female and with a few tweaks and slapped onto the SMS? Sure, why not? This "Run and Gun" (if you want to call it that) is the butt of many jokes and pretty mixed scores, but it's really not so bad. It has the potential to be hard though... it has the potential to be hard as hell.

You play as one of the world's slowest ninjas (Kazamaru), who is outrun by nearly everyone and everything on his quest to save a princess. His only offense is to throw what I would surmise are kunai, which can be upgraded to shuriken. His only defense besides "running" is to become invisible for a quick second, preventing himself from getting harmed (VERY USEFUL if used properly). He can also get a scroll to move MUCH faster, which is only a bit faster than the enemy. If you don't give the game a chance, you'll put it away forever before you even clear the third level. I know I did years back.

The hard part isn't even the enemies so much as it is finding five green scrolls (or "rolls"), which you need to beat the game. The first one is easy to find, but the rest aren't so obvious. With a little practice, you can take ninjas down with great skill and even find a few gimmicks to score 100% accuracy (even if you miss a few times), which give huge bonuses which in turn help you earn more lives. Needless to say, I've played this one a few times in the past, heh. Enjoy.
