The 'No-Nonsense' Mini ITX Build | SSUPD Meshroom D Gaming PC | Noctua NH-U9S, ASUS Dual RTX 4070 OC
#asuspcdiy #FSP #klevv - Wait, did the Meshroom S just fall over and become a D? Is that a good thing?! Let's build and find out!

SSUPD have rapidly become known for their mesh panel Mini ITX towers, the Meshroom D should come across as very familiar to those who know, except with a few changes and quirks!
First of all I want to address my hardware choices for this build. Whenever a new small form factor chassis hits the market I see SO many builds which essentially cram the hardware you'd typically find in a mid-tower, into a tiny case. This IMO is counterintuitive. If you want to maximise airflow, temps and ease of maintenance, smaller hardware makes total sense for a harmonious eco system. Just because the Meshroom D has space for a 4 slot GPU, full size ATX PSU and larger coolers, doesn't always mean you should.
Speaking of which, the Meshroom D has the capacity to mount fans or even a radiator to the bottom of the chassis. Given the tiny amount of space available to draw air, this wouldn't be ideal as demonstrated in the airflow visualization. The GPU fans were running at 100% speed and were still mostly incapable of creating any kind of static pressure to pull air through such a small space.
With those niggles out of the way, I actually really like the Meshroom D. It's a challenging build, but provided you understand the limitations then there's a lot to desire from a hardware support perspective.

There's always going to be some hardware limitations when it comes to building a small form factor PC. The Meshroom D has ample space with plenty of room to work with during the build process. Due to the mesh design, airflow is excellent and heat can be easily removed from inside the chassis. I'd like to see SSUPD refine the mesh panel retaining clips, as these are extremely tight which makes removing the panels difficult and sometimes causes them to bend.
Overall, I really like this case. A clean, minimalist design with plenty of airflow. What's not to like?
Huge thanks to Yunly, Klevv & FSP for supporting this project. It's been a real pleasure!
