We all make mistakes from time to time, even if we're speaking in our native language.

When it comes to English, there's one particular mistake I've noticed that even native English speakers make consistently: "there's".

"There's" should only be used when we're talking about something in its singular form, and never in its plural form: there's a book, there's a house.

If what we're talking about is singular, "there's" is correct, but if it's plural, we have to use "there are" or "there're": there are books, there are houses.
