The open world structure is the biggest change in any single character. There are now eight different game worlds across three possible paths: The forest, the mountains and ocean. If you want to go on your own adventure then all roads lead towards that endgame goal. When I first saw this new vision of how story should unfold at each step there was a bit more excitement because it means some things were about being able find treasure chests instead one large map filled with stuff but when I looked closer into what these "different levels" actually entailed (the higher level quests) I found them much less interesting than they could have been or even simply felt like progress
