The Outer Worlds 2 Doesn't Look Convincing... (more mediocrity?)
244After Avowed, expectations for The Outer Worlds 2 are at rock bottom.
The original Outer Worlds could be excused as maybe an overly safe game in an era where there weren't many AAA RPGs, but after it's "success" and a wave of other big RPGs, there's zero reason that it's sequel shouldn't be taking the feedback on board and developing a far more interesting RPG, focusing on Obsidian's supposed strength (writing, characters, quests etc.).
Instead, it seems like there's a focus on combat related mechanics and no signs that the writing will get any better.
If it's more of the same, all the buyers of TOW1 that didn't bother to finish the game because it was a bore won't be returning...
