Mountaineer and motivational speaker Jaahnavi Sriperambuduru discusses her journey in the field of mountaineering, and how the sport has helped her evolve into the person she is today.

Jaahnavi holds several global and national records, including being the youngest girl to reach the summit of Mt. Elbrus in Europe at just 13 years old, and the youngest Indian to scale Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. At an age when most kids are dreading the ever piling stack of homework, she was making decisions regarding life and death at sky high altitudes, oftentimes with the encouragement of her father and mentor, the late Dr. S. Krishna Rao, who was also a mountaineer. For Jaahnavi, “adventure without risk is Disneyland”.
