Leon and Ada utlimately leave the sewers after Leon helped Ada to escape a pretty dangerous situation. He not just proved that he's a reliable ally, they eventually grow on each other, since they saved each others' lives.

Needless to say, that this is the way to establish a deep bound between characters. Everything feels so authentic and plausible, even between the player-controlled banter and dialogues. It is just amazing, what Capcom did with this game.

One of many example why this product is by far the best remake, that has been ever created. Not just visually also gameplay-wise. It not only outbeats its source material, but also improves its narrative by incredible story-driven cutscenes, environmental story-telling and its dialogues. It also adds depth to the characters by offering some incredible DLCs.
