Storming your opponent's kingside is a very dangerous attacking weapon against fianchetto structures. By playing g6/g3, they're giving you a target to attack with your h pawn, and are unable to keep the position closed since their pawns cannot move backwards. This game was a great example of just how powerful a pawnstorm against a fianchettoed king can be.

It was a Modern/King's Indian structure and my opponent crumbled very quickly after exiting theory with a few passive moves.
