Stealth in Starfield seems to offer no benefits in terms of visual detection, but that isn't explained anywhere.

Sneaking has barely above 0% chance of working , while sprinting has a nearly 100% chance of working . At 3:30 I abandon stealth and sprint with immediate success, which was consistent throughout the mission.
