The Punisher is a gritty, violent and bloody beat em up released by Capcom in 1993 for the arcades. Based on the marvel comics, it features some brilliant sprite work, excellent sound effects and heart pumping tunes, as well as some brutal violent action, oh and lots of guns... and I do mean lots of guns. This was a game that did however see a home port, several years later albeit and rather rubbish but I wont let that ruin my month of September where I look back at great arcade games that didn't get home ports, lets just ignore the crappy megadrive one shall we.
In September I am looking back at arcade games from my misspent youth that never got a home port and I close off the month with The Punisher from Capcom.
