Hello Dragonball fans, today we’re talking about the rarest Dragonball video games in existence

Now to clarify, we’ll only be counting games that actually work with a system, not those lcd handhelds or that apple pippin game because that’s not even a game it’s more like a colouring book. The same goes for the playdia games because they’re more like interactive dvd’s.

So let’s get started
When talking about Rare dragon ball games the first one that comes to a lot of peoples minds is Dragonball GT final bout, however after it’s re release I personally don’t see this game as hard to come by or even expensive but it is worth mentioning that at one time this game was going for well over 100 dollars.

So to me entry level rare DBZ games are basically the gamebay handhelds boxed, they’re easy enough to come by and are cheap enough to get you started. The good thing about getting them to start off with is that they are becoming increasingly difficult to find in good shape so it doesn’t hurt to start there if you want to collect.

Here are the mid level rare games
Most rare DBZ games are actually from Japan and Europe rather than America so now we’ll take a look at some rare PAL games. The Butoden series on SNES was released in France, Spain and Portugal back in the 90’s but very little of them are around today, especially if you’re looking for them complete in box. DBZ Hyper dimension is the same. For whatever reason it’s just hard to come by in the PAL format. However the Japanese counterparts are cheap as chips on EBAY.
Now we’re on to what I consider the kind of top level rare games.
Dragonaball for the super cassette vision is the first ever dbz game and the only one not made by Bandai. The game rarely shows up on Ebay and when it does it doesn’t come with the manual and box, which to me is really what you want to be getting.
Dragonball Z 2 V is a version of Budokai 2 that was only availbe to 2,000 v jump readers. The game differs from the original by featuring cooler on the disk and in the game, along with a Kurriza skin for Frieza. This game is actually on eBay a lot but for quite a hefty price.

Then we have our grails, the holy grails of any DBZ video game collector, the gold carts of the NES games that were only given to retailers that sold well. They’re rumoured to only have around 90 of the first game and 25 of the second. These games turn up on eBay every once in a while for over a grand each, having these games is the pinnacle of DBZ video game collecting
Lastly I will say that I do believe that there are some DBZ games that could… and most likely will end up rare in the future but the time hasn’t passed just yet to consider them rare at the moment so here’s my educated guess as to what those games will be.
DragonBall Z attack of the Saiyans, DragonBall Revenge of King Piccolo and Super Dragonball Z.
Now the reason I believe these games will become rare is because they’re actually decent games that I feel eventually fans of DRAGONBALL games will want to come back to and try out, now obviously this is dependent on if dbz fans ever actually start collecting the games because if they don’t I can’t see any modern DBZ games ever becoming rare.

So that’s all I have to say on the rarity of DBZ video game, I hope you all enjoyed, if you want to learn more about the collecting aspect of the DBZ fan base head on over to the Facebook Group DBZ Collectors United and, if there are any Dragonball games that you think are rare that I left out then let me know in the comment section below and if you want to hear more from me, click that subscribe button and give this video a thumbs up, thanks!
