The Real Racing: Toyota (PS1|1999) - Preview (HD)
If you are an old PS1 gamer like me (maybe not that old...), you could have a chance to find some information about Advan Racing made by Atlus in 1999. Beside of this game, these people made two productions about Toyota cars: Netz Toyota Racing which was a freeware with 4 tracks and 8 cars or The Real Racing: Toyota published by D3 for Simple 1500 Vol.38. Game takes you to 9 locations such as Sugo, Fuji Speedway, Suzuka, Mine Circuit or Twin Ring Motegi and lets you take a ride in 12 Toyota vehicles such as Supra RZ, Aristo, Altezza, MR2, BZ-R or Corona Ex.IV. Game also have 4 modes: Spot Race, RR Champ, Time Trial and 2-Player Battle.
For a budget game, A.I. can be very difficult, however they make mistakes and can spin out while fast cornering. Driving physics are decent for a budget game, not perfect, but good enough. Video/Audio in this game is similar to PS1 standards. Music played in menu and during race is rock and pop, audio and graphics were sometimes proved to be identical to Gran Turismo 1 (or at least inspired). For a budget game is almost perfect, for a normal game is not bad, but not very exciting. Pick a car, drive few races and that's all.
