The Reality of Medication Withdrawal with Tourette Syndrome
44Hey fellow ticcers. I'm sorry about this video. But I'm going through medication withdrawal with one of my medications for my Tourette Syndrome that I've been on for over 10 years and it has been THE WORST thing I have ever experienced. I wanted to make this video to provide awareness about the realities of how hard living with Tourette's can be - due to stuff like having to switch medications and have trial and error and just alter your brain's chemistry through intense drugs. I apologize if this video is too much. I know it's probably not pleasant to watch. But this is the real and raw truth about it & I feel like people should 100% be aware of this and know about it. Tourettes is really hard to deal with as it is, and adding medication withdrawal on top of it is the worst thing. Please keep me in your thoughts.
As a girl with Tourette's, I would love to spread awareness and education about my disorder, as I feel it is quite misunderstood in today's society. The media has made it out to be a swearing disorder only, which is far from true. I hope this video will educate you on Tourette Syndrome and tic disorders! Life with Tourettes can be difficult, but just know that we're the same as everyone else...except for the fact we tic like clocks! (:
