This is a wonderfully uplifting piece from the contemporary American composer, Charles Callahan. It's in the form of one long crescendo, starting on the Choir flutes and then working up in volume through chorus sounds from across the three keyboards. At 2:30 the deep Pedal Ophicleide bursts playfully in, as you can very clearly hear (and see!). Soon after that we hit a politely restrained Full Organ (in England, our rejoicing is obscured by a stiff upper lip ...).
