Dear Diary: The more you get, the more complicated it gets. Armed now with Lasers, Super Lasers, a Vauss Heavy Machine Gun, and a napalm-fueled Flame Thrower, there are a lot of choices. Perhaps too many. One of the things that overloads an operator when they are managing any kind of vehicle is the number of choices there are. There shouldn't be too many. Cognitive load. The number of weapons and choices are becoming hard to keep up with, and I don't even have access to countermeasures and flares yet.
After an initial session to get reacquainted with the flight model, I'm starting to settle in and at least be able to hold down my lunch while piloting this crazy thing. But the whole world still goes topsy turvy when combat gets very intense and I lose my sense of where I am within a given structure and how I'm oriented.
