The Rise & Fall of Bayou Billy NES The Final Knockdown: 999999 Points Like A Boss!
This is exclusive footage of what happens when the player continues finishing the game over and over again until the maximum possible score of 999999 is reached.
The difficulty level found in the third quest remains the same after beating the game three times in a row, so you won't have to worry about the game gettin' any harder!
SOILER, yes, that's SOILER, not SPOILER, you spoiled brats, I just shat my pants, you hear?! For those of you wondering why Bayou Billy decided to let himself get killed by Rocky and Rocco (those slow as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Double Dragon wannabes) so many damn times, the reason is real simple:
Would it have been grand to have maxed out the score on Stage 1? Well, of course not! I figured that it would be far more epic to do it during the final fight, so that's just the way it had to be done! It was all part of the Bayou Billy plan: You see, Bayou Billy's a real man who can die and still come back to give it another try!
Also, to those doubters out there who believe that Rocky and Rocco are easier to deal with only after Bayou Billy dies, you're dead wrong! It's not Billy dying that makes them easier, it's the fact that he's fightin' them mano-a-mano like a real man!
HoNEStly, it's possible that Konami either felt sorry for poor ol' Bayou Billy for not having any weapons or bullet proof vest to defend himself in the final battle and therefore helped even out the odds by weakening the twins, or that they implemented an honor system whereby if Bayou Billy fights like a real man, he is rewarded with much weaker opposition (in terms of the amount of hits that they take to bring down).
Whatever the case may be, without the whip, the final battle can be pretty damn tricky (lack of a reach advantage and also having to keep 'em separated to land any hits), hence the reason why I screwed up big time during the second and third quests of the triple play deathless run, taking such a LONG ass time to get through the final battle!
However, when I strategically killed off one of the twins (each one is worth 5000 points) and allowed the other to kill Bayou Billy, in order to reach 999999 in the final stage, I had a much easier time taking them out quickly. This just proves that there is far less pressure when not having to go for a deathless run, so I had absolutely nothing to lose and was therefore far more relaxed as a result!
I'll leave you all with a final thought, just like Jerry Springer always used to do back in the day:
The Adventures of Bayou Billy is no more than a bully. If you stand up to this Bayou Bully and show it that it can't break your will, it will inevitably crumble before you. Remember, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Take care of yourselves and thanks for watching.
Virtually anything is possible, it's all in the mind- I Gar-Ron-Tee!
Played by Daniel "DTysonator" Teixeira on an original NES console with a regular controller back in 2010.
This video is dedicated to Boss Day (October 16th, 2012) and all of the bosses out there, since Bayou Billy was finished off like a boss here.
Special thanks to Vic for calling me a boss for some reason.
