The River Method: Navigating Merveil's Caverns
41This method is a short cut or rule of thumb to make navigating Merveil's Caverns (Cavern of Wrath and Cavern of Anger) easier.
The best use of this method is likely to pair it with Karv's layout reading method for these two zones outlined at poehub.gg to help you decide which path to take to get to where you believe the exit to be located when you do not precisely know which path will lead you there. If you do not want to learn a formalized method, the river method can help you navigate these layouts pretty intuitively as well.
TLDW: There is a river in both cavern of wrath and anger where if you generally follow shoreline direction, it will take you to exits in both zones. Sometimes you will have to project where river should be based on its previous direction as the river will sometimes run under the terrain. Anytime you have to divert from river shoreline, your goal should be to find it again and follow it when you can.
