This video explains how to learn/read the 8 Upper Prison layouts in a 10-minute Crash Course. After there is a 20 minute walkthrough where I run through a bunch of Upper Prisons detailing my read/thought process until we find all 8 layouts.

Learning Upper Prison is critical because it is often the zone where people struggle the most in A1 and it doesn't need to be that way. While there are a lot of layouts in Upper Prison, it is usually pretty easy to identify them early on in the layout. In so doing, you will cut down on your navigation time to Brutus significantly.
