Welcome to the live stream! \n\nToday I'll be playing through one of my favorite recent purchases on steam. A fun little mystery game where you're tasked with discovering the layout of a family tree of an incredibly famous and influential American family after it's breadwinners all die in a plane crash. Along the way, we'll discover tragedy, romance, betrayal, and a conspiracy more than 40 years in the making.
The year is 1998. A private jet belonging to the Roottree Corporation has crashed. On it were the Roottree Sisters and their parents. Combined, they were worth over a billion dollars. Due to the eccentricities of their great-great-grandfather Elias, their money must be redistributed to the rest of the family. But who's actually a BLOOD RELATIVE? That's where we come in. We're tasked by a mysterious stranger to fill in the tree, and in return, we'll be "set for life" as they put it.
The main gimmick of this game is that it is set in a time period when the internet had just come into relevance, so the tools we're used to having in the modern day are nowhere to be found. Which means we need to rely on older and slower means of collecting information, as well as taking physical notes to find the truth. And, in doing so, we'll discover the eccentricities of the founder of the family, as well as the secrets he tried to erase from history.
This will be a complete playthrough of the game in 1 sitting, and if we have time, i'll also dive into the updated side mode to show that off as well.
