31The search is finally over for Deacon as we stumble upon real answers at last!!! Are they good or bad though? And will my brain survive attempting to process it all.

Time for more Days Gone!
Today we ride to Wizard Island with Captain Kouri, I have no idea why the hell it;s called that but it fits how daft the place is. This the headquarters of the New Nutter Order and after making a good impression on Kouri, we get to join!! Hooray! We join some fellow recruits (not sure they want to join either honestly) on a small and suspiciously gallows-esque stage to swear allegiance to goodness knows what. The Moustache In Chief shows up soon enough, Colonel Garret. He's as daft as a box of frogs and much less likable but hey, we're only joining to find Sarah.
After making a good impression due to his military service nad generally non-caveman behaviour on top of Kouri's praise, we get a tour of crazy land with the man himself. He introduces us to the "Ark" as he calls it, where they're rebuilding and protecting the world that was and setting out to reclaim stuff. It's not impossible either, they're genuinely collecting what they need, from armoured cehicles and ammo presses to making napalm! o_O There's a crazy "we read bits of the Bible but not really" type slant ot the place and I can see it ending very badly/explosively. The guy who makes their explosives seems nice though, his name is Weaver. We also meet their doctor and fortunately we're not falling apart. We keep hearing of another figure though and it's a hard name to forget "The Witch of Wizard Island". Whoever that is must be some even higher tier of lunatic. We have a surprisingly short wait to find out
SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED READER. Put simply and without anything more I can do about spoilers: It's Sarah. After all this time she's right there in front of us. Neither Deacon or Sarah seem to know what to do, how to feel, how to process all of this. Both are in a weird sort of stunned state. They fortunately manage to clear the room without suspicion after Sarah gets Deacon to display the fact he can read (most locals can't) and kind of runs with that as "leave us I need to talk to my new underling". It seems that while Deacon couldn't accept that Sarah was dead, Sarah convinced herself that Deacon WAS dead. There's a few seconds of spewing words, missed events and confusion before they really start to even begin to come to terms with who's standing in front of them. This is far from the end though, Sarah is helping here, against the virus thing and they need her. She refuses to just run off much to Deacon's further emotional whiplash. Guess we're playing militia til she's done!
