THE SEASON OF CONS BEGINS ANEW || Comicpalooza 2019 vlog
6I was invited to attend Comicpalooza as a panelist and as a member of the press, and this a summary of my experience!
It was incredibly fun, especially since the venue, as always, rocks. It definitely took a lot out of me by the end, hence the lack of an outro. I adored the fact that panels were bookended by a setup period, which really helped if I needed to go slightly over my scheduled time, as well as if I needed to get to another panel right afterwards.
I wasn't a huge fan of the audio setup in the panel rooms — they relied on house sound, which would ordinarily be fine, but there weren't very many attendants on hand who could help me troubleshoot connecting to the house sound. As a result, some of my panels relied on projector sound, which was a nightmare to get through.
I was honored to be able to hang out with Andrew Love, as well as go to his panel where they put on a Shakespearean rendition of The Empire Strikes Back. I was also honored to have Blake Shepard sit in on one of my panels (he even tweeted about it)!
II did enjoy myself, despite the audio issues, and I look forward to going back next year. I'd like to thank the staff and volunteers at Comicpalooza for bringing me out, and making this event great!
