The Shores of Tripoli | Review and How to Play
Jeff shares a bit of a how to play, as well as his review of, the new card driven wargame The Shores of Tripoli from Fort Circle Games. The game pits the fledgling United States Navy against the corsairs of the Barbary Coast. The Shores of Tripoli is for one or two players, ages 14+, plays in around 45 to 60 minutes, and carries an MSRP of $66.00.
Is this historically themed, card driven, two player game deserving of a place in your collection? Or should you let this game sail on past? You'll find out!
Jeff's Note: I forgot to mention how the land combat works. Doh! Essentially, it's the same as the naval battles, where a six is a hit and an army cube is removed. Naval forces can bombard land units with that same six of a d6 roll.
