The Simpsons: Hit & Run is a 2003 action-adventure game developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Vivendi Universal Games.
Story
The citizens of Springfield are growing suspicious over the sudden appearance of mysterious black vans and video cameras throughout the town. Where did they come from? Who is behind it all? And what's all the "buzz" about New and Improved Buzz Cola?
Object of the Game
Take turns playing as Homer, Bart, Marge, Lisa and Apu throughout various levels and missions as you work to unravel the strange mystery plaguing Springfield.

We have played and recorded this using the PC version but only after applying a multitude of fixes necessary to make the game run smoothly.
As mentioned in the video, the patch to use is Lucas' Simpsons Hit & Run Mod Launcher by Lucas Cardellini. It truly serves as a one-click solution to playing the game seamlessly on modern systems (containing both widescreen and XInput support among others).

Collecting Coins:
As discussed within the video, you're most likely to find yourself suffering from a "coin shortage", which will hold you back from buying up all the Outfits and Vehicles needed to achieve 100% completion.
There are two ways to get past this. As you can expect, they both involve "farming:" coins until you have enough to buy and progress:
1. You can "farm" coins by driving around the level and breaking the Buzz Cola glass panes, payphones, other cars etc. and deal with the Police when you max the "Hit & Run" meter.
This is naturally going to be a time-consuming process not unlike grinding to level up a character in an RPG.
2. You can use the following cheats to speed up the process. You will only be focusing on destroying cars using this method:
Vehicle Invincibility - Right, Up, Right, Up
One Hit Kills Car - Right, Right, Left, Left
Bring up the cheat console by pressing the '''ESC''' key during gameplay to bring up the pause menu. Then click Options, and then hold down the '''F1''' button while inserting the key codes above.
It is worth mentioning that the game does not penalise you in any way for using Cheats and their effects wear off the moment you Quit to Main Menu (regardless of whether you save or not).
