Oi vey, what a mess. I know everyone's been talking about this absolute abomination of a movie trailer, but I figured I'd still add my two cents. In this video, I discuss my thoughts and feeling on this concept and compare it to another video game inspired movie that paid both the intellectual property, the creators, and the fans with respect.

I filmed this one week before Detective Pikachu was released in theaters, and after having seen it, I can 100% agree and confirm all of the praise it was getting from both fans and critics :3 I don't think I've ever seen the people internet unanimously agree about anything! Poor Sonic fans... they've already been in the Internet's punching bag for years... :(

Thanks a bunch for watching this, guys, and be sure to let me know what you think! Do you think this dumpster fire can be saved? I doubt it personally, but I guess if they DO decide to push the release date back then anything is possible...

UPDATE! (0527/2019)
The movie's release date has been pushed back to February 14th, 2020. Fixing the character design is a good start, but it won't necessarily save the movie unfortunately.
