This is an edited down moment from my playthrough of State of Decay 2 Juggernaut Edition on Xbox One S. I was on a mission to destroy another plague heart when a whole horde of zeds showed up and chased me down causing my character to get stuck between two shipping containers. For the life of it I just couldn't move anywhere until the last ditch attempt prompt came up and I was then able to climb one of the containers to get out of harms way. What I didn't notice at the time was that Max had become super infected by the attack and there was actually a timer counting down to what I could only assume at the time was death. It turned out that's exactly what it counted down to lol. I took my time looting the plague heart and shop shelves when all of a sudden I did finally notice the timer ticking down! By this point it was around a minute left on the clock and there was no way I was going to get Max safely to the infirmary but I had to try.. We surprisingly got a lot further than I was expecting which kind of ended up making Max's inevitable death even more irritating as we where really not many more seconds away from the home base! Oh well, these things happen and I have a fun little story and YouTube short to show for it. I hope you enjoy the video!
