Hello Guys and Today I'm going to be discussing the current state of Chromebooks and whether you should still get one or not! Chromebooks were first released and became popular in 2012 so it's been around 7 years which is not a lot when compared to other OS but is still quite a long time for tech. It has been getting quite a lot of updates and is way better than how it was initially released. So the market for Chromebooks has mostly been with the budget user who wants a laptop where he can do all the basic tasks and it was mainly a multimedia and browsing laptop at the start. Now however, Chromebooks are even able to download apps from the Google Play store which is a much needed addition but you still can't use any full sized desktop apps which you could run on windows as that isn't the approach here. Chromebooks run on Chrome OS and that is a very lightweight OS that should give good performance on budget hardware and in theory should be better for most budget laptops. To talk about the state of Chromebooks and Chrome OS, I'll be splitting up this video into these different segments and talking to you about these particular things and we'll draw a conclusion based on that. The different segments will include Software speed and app support, offline use in Chrome OS, some other special features of it, battery life, and the price of Chromebooks.
