So when recording for The Suffering I discovered something exciting that no one else has, or at least no one else has posted online. A boundary break for the game.
From this boundary break you can hop out of game bounds and re-explore old chapters, and by backtracking through the chapter 7 portion of the sandbox world I discovered that they devs allowed items to respawn in area they never expect you to return to.
I don't know what causes the items to respawn, though, as the coding for it makes no sense. The only way I think it's like this is because originally it was planned for all items to respawn every time you entered an area of the massive open world sandbox they have generated, but implemented a boolean(or whatever was standard at the time for this game) check to see if the player was supposed to return there, but only for specific areas, as the Chapter 16 area is the same as the Chapter's 5 and 7 areas in the sandbox-esque area they created.
I only found this because I saw conflicting info online about saving the one guard that I shot a few times in the video. Turns out you CAN'T save this guard.
