Also known as 超時空要塞マクロス 愛・おぼえていますか Chōjikū Yōsai Makurosu: Ai Oboete Imasu ka? in Japanese, here is The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? released in 1997 to coincide with the franchise's 15th anniversary. This is an unusual shoot 'em up. You press the shoulder buttons to change forms, A button is for rapid fire, B button is used as missles, C button is used as bombs and the Z button is used as dodging attacks. You get it. The graphics are quite good looking, it has a bit of sprite scaling (like you see in arcade games. SNES games and Atari Lynx games) and tight controls. You even have a health meter just like the SNES/Super Famicom Macross game! Quite unusual, isn't it? A pretty good game. Also released on the Playstation, 2 years later in 1999. Oh, and I forgot, this is the only Sega Macross game ever released. No Macross game on the Mega Drive, Game Gear or Dreamcast.
