4The survivalists is very enjoyable to play alone or with others.
If you don't find anyone you can play with, there are also the monkeys in the game who partly replace these players.
The monkeys you will meet you must first help to free them or give them food. from then on they belong to your team and you can train them to do certain tasks for you.
They can find resources for you, stock them, you can also give them knowledge for the constructive part of the game, so that when things are built you have time to continue doing your thing.
the monkeys can also become better at tasks as they do tasks more and as a result, for example, work faster or master several tasks.
you will also have to craft extra tools to give to the monkeys so that they can perform the tasks for you.
You can also teach them how to fight so that when you explore, you can better defend yourself against wild beasts or native inhabitants.
You will also often discover temples where you can find special items, i advice you never to enter such a temple unarmed.
when you are dead you drop all your items that you have on you on the spot, these items can be retrieved later at that place.
to avoid being killed you also have the option to teach your monkeys how to fight, this will greatly increase your chances of survival. the monkeys are also very useful for holding extra items when your inventory is full.
just like you, the monkeys will also lose hp while fighting, your job is to prepare food in time to heal or satisfy hunger.
You won't have to drink water to survive but there is an energy meter.
While running or taking resources you will have to keep an eye on that, you will get hungry faster if you keep overshooting this energy meter.
The game offers you a series of recipes that you can prepare on a campfire. Some recipes only satisfy hunger, others also provide new HP. You can also eat directly from foods that you find in nature, but the prepared recipes will be much more useful and require fewer numbers for a worthy effect.
You will also have to hunt for wildlife to make other recipes.
To hunt certain animals you will have to craft certain items, for example to catch fish.
Or if you want to save yourself the hunting you can also craft traps and wait after you have placed them.
you will also find treasure maps, notes, or diaries with useful information that will lead you to useful items or exceptional locations.
the game will also offer many interesting quests through bottles washed up on the beach or through a mysterious stranger.
Online you have certain options as a host, so you can determine whether players / which players are allowed to build in your world or so you can also determine whether other players can also own monkeys, if not the monkeys that other players find will automatically join the host's team.
Tip: when going out for recources you'll have to tap the left mouse button. But when you hold the left mouse button then you will do a more powerfull attack which will be more effective and which will also save you time.
