Approximately twice per planetary year, Venus completes a rotation about its axis in the opposite direction of most of the planets in our solar system, and watches the sun rise in the west and set in the east.
After rendering this I think the placement of the sun may be a bit off, so this scene is probably not physically accurate. It was also initially designed for landscape viewing, so the north pole would be the one facing towards the bottom of the screen at the end.
