The explosion leads them to a race of "Hawk Men" inhabiting the underground world. Lois and Dr. Henderson are taken before their king, and as they witness a statue of Dr. Henderson's late father, they uncover a shocking secret. The Hawk Men had coated the elder Dr. Henderson in gold, and now they plan to do the same to Lois and the younger Dr. Henderson.
Clark quickly transforms into Superman to rescue his friends, but he must face a formidable army of Hawk Men first. After a fierce battle, Superman successfully saves Lois and Dr. Henderson, ensuring their safe return to the surface. In a thrilling escape, Superman uses dynamite to seal the entrance to the Hawk Men's cave, preventing any pursuit.
Back at the Daily Planet, Clark and Lois present their extraordinary findings to Mr. White. However, realizing the story may be too unbelievable for the public, Mr. White decides to keep the tale a secret and destroys the report and photographs.
