This is the advantage of saving a lot of strong potions for a fight like this. Though honestly, I feel like having that accessory that makes me immune to status effects might've been enough for this, without needing to use so many elixirs. But in a multi-phase boss fight like this one, it's better to be safe than sorry (not to mention that it's literally the last fight in the game).
