♫The Void of Space (VERYTEX) SNES Arrangement - NintendoComplete- NintendoComplete
This is an arrangement of "The Void of Space," the first stage BGM from Asmik's 1991 Japanese Mega Drive game Verytex. I have arranged the song for native playback on SNES hardware, and the audio was recorded directly from a launch-model SNES deck.
Verytex had a brilliant soundtrack. At many points it sounds almost too good to be playing off of the Genesis hardware. If only the bullets didn't blend into the background so well, it would also probably be a good shooter.
I'm not sure if Hitoshi Sakamoto composed this track or not, but the game did use his famous "Terpsichorean" driver, which you might recognize from games like Hellfire, Vapor Trail, and Devilish.
Does the tune remind anyone else of the Tyrian theme?
