Scott (Jeff Fraser) lives a perfect and happy life. His recent promotion to top sports writer for the local newspaper has given him the chance to to get engaged to the love of his life Abby (Elizabeth Closter). Always tagging along with the pair is Scott's childhood friend Ty (Christopher Austin Smith), who has never seemed to grow up. Ty continues to revolve his life around video games, leaving no time for work, and his money making a mystery, even to Scott. But not everyone is perfect, the one thing that always seems to come between these tight bonds is Scott's gambling addiction. Can Scott fight off this addiction to save his relationship? His job? Can his childhood friendship survive? Will his decisions influence his future or has fate and destiny already decided it for him?
