21What is Radiant Echoes Event ?
The Radiant Echoes pre-patch event for The War Within expansion begins on July 30th and lasts until August 26th. Invasions occur in Dustwallow Marsh, Searing Gorge, and Dragonblight, rotating every 90 minutes initially, then every 60 minutes from August 6th, and every 30 minutes from August 13th. Portals to these zones are available in Legion Dalaran. The event has three phases, and players can farm Residual Memories to purchase rewards. Each zone has a weekly quest offering unique rewards.
Why Participate?
Rewards: ilvl 480 Veteran 1/8 gear (upgradeable to ilvl 502), ideal for catching up alts. This gear is useful until around level 75 in The War Within.
Leveling: Start the event at level 10 to prepare for The War Within.
Time-Limited Rewards:
Feat of Strength: This Takes Me Back
Battle Pets: Remembered Construct, Riverpaw, and Spawn
Mounts: Remembered Golden Gryphon and Wind Rider
Bags: Defender's Hefty Satchel (32-slot) and Recruit's Reagent Bag (30-slot)

Phase 1: Congealed Memories
In the first phase of a Radiant Echoes event, players will face a massive Congealed Memories. This is a boss-level NPC that will continuously spawn memories until defeated. Defeating the Congealed Memory allows the Radiant Echoes event to advance to Phase 2.
Phase 2: Scattered Memories
Once the Congealed Memories are slain, the event moves into Phase 2. Scattered memories will appear across the zone map. There are six "objectives" that must be filled to complete the event. These require you to do a variety of tasks reminiscent of Azeroth's past, from killing iconic enemies, to waking up sleeping peons, and even gathering pages of the iconic Green Hills of Stranglethorn!
Once all six memories are cleared out, the event will move into its final phase!
Phase 3: Remembered Boss
Once all scattered memories are defeated, they will merge into a final boss from Azeroth's past: Onyxia in Dustwallow Marsh, Ragnaros in Searing Gorge, or the Lich King in Dragonblight. Defeating them ends the event in that zone until it rotates.
For each zone in which the Radiant Echoes manifest, there is an associated weekly quest:
The Forgotten Hero in Dustwallow Marsh offers Broken Masquerade;
The Memory of a Duke in Searing Gorge offers Champion of the Waterlords;
The Echo of the Silver Hand in Dragonblight offers Only Darkness
How are residual memories transferable between characters?
Go into the Currency tab, click on the currency and there will be a side menu with a 'Transfer' button. The character you are on is the character you will be transferring the currency to and you can select in a dropdown menu what character you want to transfer the currency from.
Band of Radiant Echoes is the new haste/mastery heirloom ring introduced in the War Within Pre-patch.

Lifeless Stone Ring - purchased from Remembrancer Amuul for 25 Residual Memories
Essence of Northrend - obtained by combining 20x Memory of Northrend, which have a chance to drop from objectives in Dragonblight.
Essence of Kalimdor - obtained by combining 20x Memory of Kalimdor, which have a chance to drop from objectives in Dustwallow Marsh.
Essence of the Eastern Kingdoms - obtained by combining 20x Memory of the Eastern Kingdoms, which have a chance to drop from objectives in Searing Gorge.
