
The Wave Killer Build! - Master Marksman on Ephyra (MAX BUILD) - Gears 5 Horde Frenzy 10-2-2021
Ok so Longshot Handling being Lvl 6 is my catalyst to make the Marksman incredibly stronger than I previously thought. Part of the reason why I keep putting Marksman a bit lower on the tierlist is because, if you screw up a couple shots in your X-Ray, then the ult is over and done. And a lot of it for me was dealing with reloads. I'd jam a reload or two because I'm panicking and the ult didn't do much. Sometimes I pull it off well, other times not.
But with Longshot Handling being lvl 6 and Critical Parade being lvl 6 now? WOOOOOF. OK. POINT TAKEN. You get a few good kills on your X-Ray and you can take some time to breathe, grab another longshot, get a quick nap in, grab a snack, go walk your dog, and you'll still have X-Ray up lol. I notice that I can more calmly focus on the headshots when I don't have to focus on active reloading as well, so the kills were just ABSURD.
I think this was the build I needed to see. If I do another tierlist I think this justifies the S+ for Marksman. You got the option to go more of a freezing build, a build with explosive headshots, an EMBAR run, and then this monstrosity - among others. I didn't believe you could push to clear as much as you can, and I always thought about bosses still being a big wall to the marksman being included in that S+ patheon. However, you can kill the WHOLE WAVE, no exaggerating on that, and then go throw some X-ray bonus damage shots at a Matriarch, a Swarmak, a Carrier, a few shots into a Stump and it's dead. You clear the whole map of danger for your teammates to go kill the boss. Yeah, this was the build I needed to run.
That being said, it took until my whole Marksman class is maxed with the exception of Epic Score Boost, and that's a lot of gold and grinding, but I'm convinced. How about you?
