The Way Of The Exploding fist bull punch
6Well, its finally happened, after thirty years of trying, I've managed to knock out that bloody bull!
I remember the first time I saw this game, it was around 1985 and myself and my mum was browsing in the independent computer shop and on display was the rubber-keyed 48k Spectrum, with Exploding Fist playing.
I attempted to play it but had issues with the controls not being keyboard friendly and that was the end of that.
Then a year later my parents got themselves a shiny Commodore 64 and in that time purchased a copy of exploding fist.
I was blown away, I jumped out of my skin the first few times you start loading it, as when the picture loads up, there is an almighty HIYAA!! from the screen :)
Whilst fine tuning my skills at about the age of 10, after the stage with the Buddha statue, you are greeted with a raging bull. Normally I would just summersault over it and progress to the next stage but on this one occasion, I thought to myself. I know, I will punch it in the face! but would just get crumpled into the ground but on this one random time, BLAM! it dropped to the floor. And I've been trying to replicate it since and thanks to the power of screen capture, I've only bloody gone and done it again! Hurrah
