The Way Of The M #14 – Merciless
0You might notice a lack of a typical element of my LPs. Namely…well, me, or rather, my voice. This was a case of “my mic was muted” again, and normally I would do retrospective commentary…but let’s face it, I won’t be able to fill this much time with anything worth talking about, nor do I really want to try. As this was the only video in the series with this problem, I decided to just let it be.
Levels Played Today:
Quicksanded – The first half of this level actually goes pretty smoothly. The second half…not so much. Cramped corridors, footballs, and the return of slopes make things rather nightmarish once again.
Sulfur Laboratory – I’m assuming the yellow “lava” is supposed to be sulfur…one can only imagine what this place smells like. Too many Chucks and Kickin’ Koopas make the first part of this stage unpleasant to go through, to say nothing of a really difficult early jump. Tricky jumping is all over the place, as well as enemies you can do nothing but avoid, but the stage’s real downfall is that it is FAR too long. Excessive length is something that we’re going to be seeing a lot of in the coming stages.
