In this episode, Geralt arrives in Flotsam just in the nick of time to save two dear old friends from the gallows - by means of a little fist fighting and a little persuasion; in the process, he meets the town garrison's somewhat less than pleasant commander Loredo. Most of the rest of the episode is taken over by scenes of relaxation in the nearby inn - chatting up with old and new friends, arm wrestling, fist fighting, and dice playing with the locals, and predictably indulging in a bit of carnal pleasure. This idyll is only interrupted once by the sudden, though brief, appearance of a terrible monster, the Kayran, and the arrival of an exotic-looking bounty-hunting sorceress in its wake.
