In this chapter, Geralt breaks into the Nilfgaardian camp, massacres most of its occupiers, and extracts a tortured and disspirited Triss out of her prison (NOTE: this route is incompatible with saving Saskia in the previous chapter, but all miracles are possible with the power of editing). After that, Geralt takes some time to finish the remaining side quests before heading to the mages' summit - such as completing The Gargoyle Contract, beating all the local champs at poker, and defeating a particularly dangerous foe, the Operator, for Loc Muinne's prized artifact - The Operator's Staff.
