In this chapter, David finally returns to his main quest and proceeds to investigate the leaders of the Iron Throne. Having dispatched a large and dangerous group of rebels in Baldur's Gate, he is then teleported by Duke Eltan to his native Candlekeep, where, as it seems, the main leaders of the conspiracy have taken up their headquarters. As David returns to Candlekeep, he finds that the old peacefulness of the place has been replaced by an atmosphere of suspicion - and while some of his old friends are still there to lend a hand, others are apparently no longer what they seem to be on the surface...
