Part 5 - The Man From Cintra
In this episode we team up with the Duchess and her men, to track down the source of the wine spilled on one of the ransom notes. The Duchess knows her wine, and has a taster that can identify exactly where it came from. We search a nearby farm, and find that one of the wine barrels has been filled with a cheap knockoff. We question the vineyard owner, and learn there was to be another exchange with the man from Cintra. We go in their stead, and set up an ambush. We kill everyone, but question the last guy, and learn all we can. Our next lead takes us to a masquerade ball, where we have to find a singer for our next round of questioning. We find her chamber, and investigate learning there was a struggle, and the thief tried to make off with a precious jewel. It gets even stranger, as we are debriefing, Regis and Detlaff show up to join us at the table. The Duchess doesn't know that Detlaff is the beast we're after, so we play it cool. After an awkward nightcap, we end this mission, and will pursue our new leads, next time.
