Part 7 - Scenes From A Marriage
In this episode we start probably the most interesting mission in this entire DLC. Scenes From A Marriage, where we come across the old Von Everec estate, and start looking for signs of Olgierd's wife, and how we might acquire the rose he gave her. It's not long into our investigation, we meet the Caretaker. An otherworldly humanoid, with no face, and a magical shovel. We have a long fight with him, but eventually take him down and then talk to the cat and dog nearby. They are spirits apparently. They tell us of the tragedies of the manor, and we enter to investigate further. Inside we meet Iris, or her spirit anyways, and she's a little upset we are here and attacks us. As we investigate further, we start to put the pieces together that Olgierd may have been into some occulty stuff. We look for a way to put Iris' spirit to rest, and discover that she was into painting. So we take some items out to the courtyard, and end up being sucked into one of her paintings. Here, is where we see the various "scenes" from the marriage, and have to add objects, and fight monsters, to advance to the next scene. By the end of it all, we discover Olgierd summoned a demon, in the form of Gaunter O'Dimm and now his soul belongs to him. We escape a burning house, by entering one last painting, and emerge at the manor in a snowy scene. We make it inside out of the blizzard, and meet Iris, who still has the rose. We convince her to give it to us, and exit the painted world of Iris Von Everec. Next time, we will give it to Olgierd, and carry on with our final mission for this DLC.
