We are getting the most expansive, detailed and open worlds we have ever seen this generation and this will only grow more.

But PC and console alike are made up of more than simply a CPU + GPU (APU) but instead have others components that effect all areas of performance.

And with streaming being a huge part of these games they have to handle even more content in a shorter time, how much does the I/O access of the disk hinder this and can we make improvements to help this?.
