Part 11 - The Demon In The Tree and Face to Basket With The Crones of the Swamp
In this episode we take on a job to find out what happened to some nearby villagers, and track down a haunted tree, with a pulsating mass of fleshy bits who talks to us about reviving her. We decide to track down the remains, and put the thing at ease, rather than release it, as it does not seem like it has good intent. We then move back on to the main story, and head back to Crookback Bog to confront the ladies there with the payment we received from the villager. An ear sacrifice. The crones of the swamp reveal themselves, and we see their grotesque forms, including one that has a basket for a face. We speak to them and learn the truth, that the woman who has been caring for the children, is indeed the Baron's wife. After our encounter, we head to the Baron with this news, and he does not take it well. But, he hears us out and shares more info about Ciri. We will head back into the woods soon, with the Baron, to reunite the two, but decide to take a break for now.
