The Witcher Retrospective|While Waiting for The Witcher 4|Part 2/5
I’m back with the continuation of this retrospective on The Witcher series, focusing on the very first game released on PC in 2007.
In this part, we’ll cover everything surrounding the game, from its reception to a deep dive into its features, and, of course, I’ll offer my own entirely subjective opinion.
To fully grasp the narrative stakes of the first The Witcher game and the games in general, it's highly recommended to be familiar with key elements from Andrzej Sapkowski’s short stories and novels. Reading the books isn't necessary, but it's definitely a valuable addition, just as it’s preferable to have played previous entries in the series as each new episode was released. For this reason, I invite you to check out the first part of this retrospective, which focuses on the founding of CD Projekt, their meeting with Andrzej Sapkowski, lore insights, philosophical aspects, and the essence of immersive fiction.
This retrospective is available in video, audio, and text formats. Enjoy the video, audio, or reading experience!
