(1991) How big were the Beatles? It probably depends on how staunch a fan you were. But John Lennon caused a stir when he said, in a throwaway line, that they were bigger than Jesus Christ. The Fab Four certainly helped re-draw the music charts, and the linchpins - Paul McCartney and John Lennon - joined the ranks of the most successful song writing teams of the 20th Century. Since then, we've seen the disintegration of the group, the assassination of Lennon, and the emergence of McCartney of one of the true survivors of that minefield of sex, drugs and rock'n'roll. In 1991, he went on the road again - for the first time in 13 years - and the whole event was captured on film. That movie, Get Back, was about to be released in Australia, when Jennifer Byrne met Paul in London to talk about the past, the present and the future with the man who was dubbed 'the cute Beatle'.
