Eastshade is a first-person, open world exploration game where you are a traveling painter, exploring the island of Eastshade. Capture the world on canvas using your artist's easel. Talk to the inhabitants to learn about their lives. Make friends and help those in need.
My impressions of the game are as follows :
- Visuals are very nice to look at (vibrant colors, character models, etc)
- Lets you explore a decent bit but leads the story in a certain way (ex. have to find something to proceed)
- Character models seem a little rough animation wise
- Player camera seems a bit wonky sometimes (colliding with objects in odd ways)
All in all :
It's a novel game idea with interesting tidbits of story sprinkled about but not so much to bore the player. Lets you explore at your own pace but lacks explanation in interface/ui which is fine for some. Good game, slow paced/casual, overall pretty decent 3/5 ⭐
