
The world's first use of nanotechnology was 2,600 years ago in India!
In 2015, the ruins of a city dating back to the 3rd-6th century BCE were discovered in a nondescript village some 450 km from Chennai, India. Today, scientists have stumbled upon the world's first documented use of nanotechnology, over 2,600 years ago, in broken pieces of pottery and artefacts from the excavation site, Keeladi. A paper published in 'Nature' in November 2020 has reported the results.
