As anybody who knows my channel, I most often play great, famous old games. But this time, let's have the complete opposite, and guys, I have found one of the most messed up titles on the planet. You may have known this from AVGN (which you should check the episode out), but this game is called Hong Kong 97, and no, it is not the movie at all. Apparently, it is an extremely rare unlicensed 1995 title on the Super Famicom (SNES) with the most absurd introduction sequence and 2D shooter gameplay. According to the story, a character named Chin - supposedly a relative to Bruce Lee using the likeness of Jackie Chan, to destroy 1.2 billion people in China and eventually "ultimate weapon" Tung Shau Ping (Deng Xiaoping). As for the gameplay itself, one hit, Game Over, all while listening to a funny non-ending 5-second music loop with foreign lyrics (because 2D-era games hold very little memory). Gets boring almost immediately. I agree with James Rolfe on this. Hong Kong 97 indeed suck, but doing a video of it is likely worth it for memes. It's certainly the worst Super NES game ever made...on the very console I personally considered #1!

But what made the game rather disturbing isn't just the gameplay, but it is full of inappropriate background images and the intro even has what I believe the first time the infamous dirty word "FUCK" was ever used in a video game, before the ESRB could point "Strong Language" out. I actually intended to show myself playing on camera and comment due to how horrible it is, but unfortunately my weak Chromebook struggled into a slow framerate.
